Women Officers' Mentoring, Educating, and Networking (W.O.M.E.N.) Alliance

Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive

  • Food being collected from September 14, 2007-November 14, 2007
  • Canned, boxed, non-perishables
  • Stuffing, canned or boxed potatoes, gravy/gravy mix, canned vegetables, canned fruit, applesauce, cranberry sauce, etc.
  • In addition, other foods are appreciated: baby foods, cereal, pasta, canned sauces, rice, beans, soups, canned meats or fish, etc.

Please drop off at the Fall River Police Department lobby- bins will be present.



The Fall River Police Department annual auction

The Fall River Police Department annually holds an auction with other City departments for goods no longer useable and/or for items "found" during the course of the year. These items may include vehicles, bicycles, electronic equipment, household goods, computers, computer parts and many other items. The Fall River Police Department makes no implied or express promises that any particular kind of item will be present at the auction, and all items are auctioned in an "as is" condition.

This year's auction will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007.

Thomas J.Giunta and Richard G. Magan Scholarship Reception

The Annual Scholarship Reception for the Thomas J. Giunta and Richard G. Magan Memorial Trusts will be held at White's on the Watuppa, Route 6, Westport, Massachusetts, 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2008.

Scholarship winners will be notified of the reception via mail.

All 2007-2008 scholarship recipients from these two Trust Funds are invited to attend, with two guests of their choice. A small buffet dinner is served and scholarship checks are presented.

This is an opportunity for scholarship awardees to meet the Chief of Police, Committee members, the Scholarship Selection Panel (who make the scholarship decisions), other scholarship winners, and Giunta and Magan family members.
